What hardware do I need for audio conferencing?

Answered By Matt Cabrinha, Editor

There are quite a few equipments that you need to buy or rent from your service provider in order to start an audio conference. Here are the basic equipments you need:

• 1 unit of 500-port audio conferencing bridges hardware and software.
• 2 workstations for configurations and control of the audio bridge.
• A Phonline or an internet connection.

There are also accessories that you would want to have in order to improve your audio conferencing such as:

• Extension microphones
• Phone interface module
• Digital to analog adaptors
• Subwoofer
• Security kit
• Headsets
